i quote a friend.
(the 5 year old was assigned « boy » at birth and usually identifies as such)
here’s the conversation that just took place at the breakfast table:
mama: We need to find you a violin teacher.
5 y-o: I hope it’s a man.
5 y-o: Because I’m Tinky. I mean I’m Winky.
mama: What? Can you explain that?
5 y-o: I like boys, and so does Po.
sister: Who’s Po?
5 y-o: A baby monkey.
mama: How do you know he likes boys?
5 y-o: Because it’s a boy. Winky is Tinky. Tinky Winky is also a boy.
There is a context, of course, but i think even without it it’s utterly cute.
